This post wins my vote for best comics blog post/article/essay of 2010. Amazingly good work, stuffed with original insight, great facts, and a whole new way of looking at comics. This could be the culmination of your multi-years study of of Stanley's work. I wish that some publisher out there would hire you to write about Stanley. I would buy the book in a heartbeat!Paul C.Tumeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05398929835829679477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157513690234917810.post-66185653893760816792010-11-23T05:35:30.674-08:002010-11-23T05:35:30.674-08:00Super post. That post represented a weekend of writing, re-writing, image searching, and then lots of editing once I'd posted it live.

Stanley's whispering--there's one I forgot! He certainly put his own spin on that comics trope. It is indeed something between speech and sound effects. Stanley used it to intrigue the reader, and it has a tone like his dialogue.

Thanks again-always a pleasure to hear from you.Frank M.
